Before you enter Palawan’s paradise, take note of all the important travel advisories and guidelines to keep both tourists and locals safe.

Quarantine Category

  • El Nido will be on Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) until August 31. The municipality will only accept tourists from point-to-point travel bubbles originating from inside and outside of Palawan until further notice.
  • Coron: no tourism; only essential travel is allowed.
  • Puerto Princesa will be on General Community Quarantine (GCQ) until August 31, 2021. Leisure attractions are open 50% capacity but minors are not allowed.

Entry Requirements - Once Tourism Resumes

EL NIDO

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Tourists are prohibited to stay within municipalities of Palawan that are currently closed for tourists.
  • Leisure travel is open to all ages without underlying conditions and comorbidities. Minors shall be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
  • Tourists are not permitted to mingle with locals.
  • Tourists shall inform their accommodation establishment staff about their visits to different tourism-related enterprises (TREs) such as restaurants, tourist shops that have complied with the LGU's Local Seal of Compliance (LSOC).
  • Tourists are required to pay the Eco-Tourism Development Fee (ETDF) at the Tourist One Stop Site (TOSS) located at the entry points of El Nido
  • Shared transportation is temporarily banned.
  • Tourists will not be allowed to wander in the streets.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR PALAWEÑO TOURISTS

  • QR-coded Tourist Id (QT-ID). Get this from https://elnidotourism.ph/ by submitting the required documents
  • Negative Antigen test regult within 24 hrs (if originating from area under ECQ)
  • Proof of Palawan Residency
  • Booking / reservation in a DOT-accredited hotel

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR OTHER DOMESTIC TOURISTS / NON-PALAWEÑO

  • QR-coded Tourist Id (QT-ID). Get this from https://elnidotourism.ph/ by submitting the required documents. Cut-off of application is at 3pm the day before the guest arrives.
  • S-Pass travel application
  • Booking / reservation in a DOT-accredited hotel
  • Private transportation from the point of entry to the hotel and vice versa
  • Roundtrip tickets
  • Valid identification card
  • Transportation from the point-of-entry to the hotel and vice versa. There shall be no sharing with other guests and/or locals. (Details of the transport vehicle shall be endorsed to the Municipal Tourism Office (MTO) on or before 3:00PM of the day before the guest's arrival)

CORON

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Tourists not based in Palawan are allowed to enter Coron via plane or private boat only

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR DOMESTIC TOURISTS / NON-PALAWEÑOS

  • **Stay Safe App/QR Code
  • Approved S- Pass Travel application
  • Negative RT-PCR Test Result taken within the last 48 hours
  • Booking from a licensed (with Mayors Permit, DOT Accreditation and Safety Seal) hotel and tour agency
  • Vaccination Card (Fully Vaccinated)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR PALAWEÑO TOURISTS AND NON-PALAWEÑOS WHO STAYED IN OTHER AREAS IN PALAWAN PRIOR TO ENTERING CORON

  • **Stay Safe App/QR Code
  • Approved S- Pass Travel application
  • Negative RT-PCR Test Result taken within the last 48 hours
  • Proof of Palawan Residency (Government issued ID indicating Palawan address of residency or school ID from any school located in Palawan)
  • Booking from a licensed (with Mayors Permit, DOT Accreditation and Safety Seal) hotel and tour agency
  • Vaccination Card (Fully Vaccinated)

Open destinations / allowed activities:

  • Kayangan Lake, Baracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Banol Beach, Smith Beach, Vivian Beach, Beach 91, Dicantuman Beach, Maynuno Beach, Atuayan Beach, Skeleton Wreck, Sunset Beach, CYC Beach, Malcapuya Beach, Banana Island, Bulog Dos Island, Coco Beach, Ditaytayan Beach, Demanglet Island, Siete Picados Marine Park, Bintuan Marine Park, Maquinit Hot Springs, Valley Beach, Cabu Beach, Mt. Tapyas, Mt. Tundara, Mt. Avangan Eco Resort

PUERTO PRINCESA

REQUIREMENTS

  • Identification card (ID)
  • S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit
  • StaySafe.ph QR code
  • Negative RT-PCR test result (swabbed within 48 hrs before arrival or before flight). To ensure legitimacy of the result, inbound travelers shall instruct their chosen DOH-accredited testing facility to email the result directly to the city's Incident Management Team (IMT)
  • Vaccination card or ID (for travelers who will only stay in the city for three days)
  • Return ticket (for travelers who will only stay in the city for three days)
  • Itinerary with tours and accommodation booked via a DOT-accredited travel agency or hotel
  • Those who intend to stay for more than three days must undergo 7-day quarantine in a city facility. They will undergo Rapid Antigen Testing on the seventh day. The cost of quarantine facilities will be borne by such individuals except for the antigen test which is free or will be borne by the LGU.
  • All travels must be coordinated with the IMT Travel Team, through a letter addressed to Dr. Dean L. Palanca, IMT Incident Commander, which may be reached at: imtcovid.reqppc@gmail.com. Inbound passengers need to include the reason for travel, including the required documents.
